TonebookPrivacy Policy

Tonebook Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2026

Tonebook is provided by BE A MAN PTY LTD. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Tonebook iOS app.

1. Client data stays under your control

Client names and contact details, color formulas, visit history, notes, prices, product costs, templates, and photos are stored locally on your device by default. Tonebook does not require an account and does not upload this content to our servers.

You control exports. Client content leaves the app only when you choose to export or share it. Optional anonymous product analytics is described below.

2. Contacts, camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition

Tonebook requests access only when you use the related feature:

  • Contacts: import selected client details. Tonebook does not modify your contacts.
  • Camera and photos: attach visit images or scan an existing client card.
  • Microphone and speech recognition: convert dictated formula text into an editable draft.

Imported or captured content becomes part of your local client book. Apple may process speech input when iOS speech recognition requires its service. You can deny any permission and continue using the app without that feature.

3. Purchases

Apple processes Tonebook Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchases. Tonebook uses StoreKit to load localized product information, complete purchases, verify entitlements, and restore purchases for the Apple Account on the device.

We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple retains purchase records as needed to process, restore, refund, and account for purchases.

4. Anonymous product analytics

Anonymous product analytics are optional and can be turned off in Settings. When enabled, Tonebook sends a limited set of anonymous interaction events to PostHog so we can understand onboarding, formula-recording, repeat-use, export, and purchase flows. Events may include the app language, device-region setting, App Store storefront country, action source, export format, visit type, or selected plan.

Tonebook does not send client names, contact details, formulas, notes, photos, record identifiers, file paths, or search terms to PostHog. GeoIP enrichment, automatic screen and control capture, session replay, user profiles, surveys, feature flags, push capture, and crash capture are disabled. You can turn Anonymous Product Analytics off at any time in Tonebook Settings.

5. Support communications

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include, such as screenshots, device details, or a problem description. We use it only to answer and troubleshoot your request and retain it only as long as reasonably necessary.

6. Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell personal information and do not use advertising SDKs. We share information only when you direct the app to do so, with service providers described above, or when required by law.

7. Retention and deletion

Local client data remains until you delete records, use the in-app deletion controls, or uninstall the app. Purchase history is retained by Apple under its policies. You may ask us to delete support correspondence.

8. Children

Tonebook is a professional productivity app and is not directed to children.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Most Tonebook data is controlled directly on your device through export and deletion tools. Contact us for requests involving support communications.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
