Try the sample, then unlock your projects
Open the sample project to try notes, photos, sketches and PDF reports. To create or import your own project, buy lifetime access from the card at the top of Settings or the purchase screen shown when creating a project. This is a single non-consumable purchase, not a subscription. Apple shows the final local price before confirmation.
Restore a purchase
Use the same App Store account that bought access. Open Settings → Lifetime access → Restore Purchases with an internet connection. Restoring access does not restore project files. If access is missing, check the Apple account, reconnect and retry; contact support with the app version and error text, never your password.
Capture and hand over
Open a project and create a note. Add point IDs, text, photos or a sketch. Use Reports to select the content and paper size, then generate and share the PDF. A PDF is a readable report, not an editable project backup. Fieldnotes does not measure coordinates.
Back up before changing devices
Use Settings → Backups & restore to create a full backup and save it outside the app. Review the preview before restoring or importing. There is no automatic project cloud sync. Deleting the app removes its local files; keep a separate backup before uninstalling or changing devices. Restoring or importing your own projects requires lifetime access.
Permissions and troubleshooting
Camera and photo access are used only for the photos you choose to capture or add. Change permissions in iOS Settings. Local editing works offline; purchase and restore require internet. If PDF generation fails, try a smaller report and make sure your device has free storage.
